Preliminary customs import and export statistics for April 2015

1. Export:
Exports in April were US$48.66 billion, the second highest monthly total in history, down 1.8% from the previous month and up 29.9% from the same month last year (up 33.1% in NT dollars). Cumulative exports from January to April were US$178.23 billion, up 20.6% from the same period last year (up 25.6% in NT dollars).

2. Import:
Imports in April were US$41.46 billion, the second highest monthly total in history, down 2.7% from the previous month and up 33.0% from the same month last year (up 36.2% in NT dollars). Cumulative imports from January to April were US$147.38 billion, up 20.4% in NT dollars (up 25.5% in NT dollars) from the same period last year.
